Many children, and youth in Peru are in extremely fragile conditions.

Due to the poverty of their families, children are often exposed to malnutrition, child labor, school dropout, and physical and psychological abuse.

This is why together with our local partners, we initiated a training program on safeguarding children’s rights for teachers, students and parents at five of our educational centers in Apurímac, Cusco, San Juan de Lurigancho, Ventanilla and Ica.

We train an average of 180 teachers on the implementation of a child protection protocol in each school, and more than 1,000 parents are involved in psychological training on their role in child development, active listening, emotion management, and self-esteem.
