La Salle Technical College – Hohola
Training and opportunities for young people in Papua New Guinea
Founded in 1973, the Centre was established to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged students in Port Moresby. La Salle Hohola Youth Development Centre, recognized as a technical college since January 2015, is now officially known as La Salle Technical College – Hohola.
It primarily serves students who are unable to continue their studies in registered high or secondary schools due to family or personal challenges, as well as those who were not selected for high school.
Today, the institute has 34 teachers and 24 support staff members, who accompany a total of 750 students. Each year, between 87% and 92% of graduates find employment with recognised organisations and companies, demonstrating the College’s commitment to providing practical skills and concrete opportunities to build a successful future.
Through skills-based education focused on the world of work, La Salle Technical College – Hohola continues to provide young people with essential tools to fulfil their potential and participate fully in community life.
