Thanks to the generous support of donors around the world, the #1LaSalle campaign will soon fully fund all 15 flagship initiatives!

The most recent five projects — focused on environmental sustainability — are underway, helping students, families, and communities thrive in greener, more resilient learning environments.

Our last 5 initiatives: A green school makes room for all

In Rumbek, South Sudan, our school is becoming self-sufficient with solar energy, clean water, and food. Now, we’re closing the loop with a new water recycling system that benefits both students and the wider community.

At our school in Pozo Colorado, students used to miss class due to dry-season water shortages. Now, a rainwater system ensures reliable access, so they never miss lessons again. We’re installing collection points to share clean water with nearby communities—some for the first time.

In Lebanon, we’re installing solar panels in all seven schools so students have light, heat, clean water, and meals—despite the crisis. In Egypt, Saint Joseph Khoronfish is reinvesting savings on electricity costs into a project to help vulnerable children.

At St. Xavier Boys’ College in Mannar, we built a dormitory where students now have access to clean water, nutritious meals and electricity for studying. For many of them, it’s the first time they have everything they need to thrive in school.

Located on the Blackfeet Reservation, in Browning, Montana, this school offers unique environmental immersion programs that connect students with nature and teach them about sustainability, nutrition, and resource conservation.

With all 15 flagship projects now close to being fully funded, a new #1LaSalle campaign is already underway. This time, we’re focused on closing the inequality gap — ensuring that every child can return to school and reclaim their right to learn, grow, play, and simply be a child.
